I started a YouTube channel in 2011, filming beauty and makeup tutorials in my bedroom. Coincidentally, it was a video of my mascara application that went viral and caused my channel to take off, quite literally changing my life forever.
Over the last 10 years, the number one question I'm asked is "what mascara are you wearing?", so I thought it was about time I answered that question with "I made it myself!"
I knew that if I was going to make my own, I would have to make it better than all of my past favourites. It would have very big shoes to fill. So, I got to work outlining the way it needed to perform, what it could not do under any circumstances, what it could not contain, what the wand was made of and how it applied the formula, what the packaging looked like and how the packaging felt in your hands.
It was no small task, and took me several years to perfect, but I couldn't be happier with what I've created.
I bet you're wondering where the name LOUNGEFACE comes from. Quite simply, it's makeup you feel comfortable using and wearing. Lounge = comfort, face = makeup. I only want to create products that enhance your confidence and make your life a little easier. No fuss or gimmicks, just makeup that you can trust and rely on. Reliable products that let you relax.
For the record, you don’t need to fix, hide, or change anything about yourself. You don’t need this makeup, or any other brand’s makeup, because your appearance only makes up the tiniest part of what makes you great. I fell in love with makeup because I like being creative and it enhances my confidence. Do I think I need it? Absolutely not! But I know how unstoppable I am when I feel good about myself, and if makeup can help me feel that way, then I’m all in. I truly hope that LOUNGEFACE can have that effect on you, too.
